Meditation in Toronto (Tuesdays)

Address: 60 Lowther Avenue, (close to St George subway station)
Bring: Water bottle & wear comfortable clothing

The meditation session starts at 7:15pm and ends at 8:30pm. That means sitting still as well as silent and meditating for 1 hour and 15 minutes. They usually have standing meditation in the middle for people to get up and stretch their legs. Then they have a talk for about 30 minutes and everything wraps up at 9pm. You can meditate by sitting on the chairs they provide. The more seasoned meditators bring their own meditation pillows and sit on the floor. Usually about 70 people show up. Just so you know, they talk a lot about the teachings of the Buddha. I prefer to let you know to be sure you feel comfortable. I really like the people, teachings and ambiance at this place and I’d highly recommend as long as it doesn’t create a conflict for you religion-wise. No Yoga for this one. Only mindful meditation. They provide all instruction before and during the class, so you will know what to do.
