Marvelous night with Sebastian Stan: Feature article

Thursday Jan 25,2024

Toronto,ONT

On set :Twin cities upcoming film on Donald Trump early days in the 1980's

It was the last week of January and I got email from my agent for a film looking for people with tuxedos/ casino patrons

I have a tuxedo so that was an easy YES!

I already had an earlier commitment to speak at event in the Yonge and Sheppard area which I had committed few weeks earlier so I couldn't break it. It was going to be long day!

The day gets started and I do my speaking commitment and head back downtown to drop of my stuff and pick up my bag with my two fittings.

I reach the location and there are lots of extras on the 19th floor roughly 150 of us.

Get settled and I ask what is this film all about ?  Answer: about Trump in his early days in the 80's

My response: UGh!!!

My next question: Who is playing Trump?

Answer: Sebastian Stan

My answer: OMG!!!   It's going to be a Marvelous night!!!!

(If you don't already know I have a huge Marvel fan since 2008)

I had the great experience to meet James Marsden (Cyclops in X-men )  2019 on set of   Mrs. America and Cate Blanchett (play Hela Thor Ragnarock)

It was amazing trifecta to see Sebastian Stan in action for this night of  filming.

Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier

It was long night of filming as we did one scene but in two different locations!

There was lots of green screens and we all using are amazing skills pretending we were on escalators in one long scene!

It was truly amazing too see how calm, cool and collected Sebastian was with all the direction he was getting from Director Ali Abbasi and the camera and photography professionals.

Sebastian Stan as young Donald Trump

We then went to another location with more green screen but this time we had real escalators and we had to film at the top and the bottom of both escalators!

It was one of the most unique experience I have ever had being so involved in all the action that was happening.

We wrapped up at 4:30am and of course it was Marvelous night indeed!

Blink (audio series): Review

Jim's Review

Sensational series to listen from first to last cd.

So many stories and lesson to be learned from the past.

10 out of 10 stars

About cd series

The landmark book that has revolutionized the way we understand leadership and decision making - from number-one best-selling author Malcolm Gladwell.

In his landmark best seller The Tipping Point, Malcolm Gladwell redefined how we understand the world around us. Now, in Blink, he revolutionizes the way we understand the world within. Blink is a book about how we think without thinking, about choices that seem to be made in an instant, in the blink of an eye, that actually aren't as simple as they seem. Why are some people brilliant decision makers, while others are consistently inept? Why do some people follow their instincts and win, while others end up stumbling into error? How do our brains really work, in the office, in the classroom, in the kitchen, and in the bedroom? And why are the best decisions often those that are impossible to explain to others?

In Blink we meet the psychologist who has learned to predict whether a marriage will last, based on a few minutes of observing a couple; the tennis coach who knows when a player will double-fault before the racket even makes contact with the ball; the antiquities experts who recognize a fake at a glance. Here, too, are great failures of "blink": the election of Warren Harding; "New Coke"; and the shooting of Amadou Diallo by police. Blink reveals that great decision makers aren't those who process the most information or spend the most time deliberating, but those who have perfected the art of "thin-slicing", filtering the very few factors that matter from an overwhelming number of variables.

Drawing on cutting-edge neuroscience and psychology and displaying all of the brilliance that made The Tipping Point a classic, Blink changes the way you understand every decision you make. Never again will you think about thinking the same way.

Become a magnet for prosperity simply by adopting the psychology of the MEGA-RICH!

You don't have to sell your soul to be rich. Nor do you have to sacrifice your relationships in order to build wealth. You don' even have to scrimp and save! Sure, you can get wealthy that way - but it's no fun!

Fabulously wealthy people have a much better strategy for having it all: money, harmonious relationships, the right connections, the right opportunities, and more. It's not so much that they do things differently; it's that they have a different psychology.

Now you can get the tools you need so that you can replicate this psychology and achieve wealth beyond your wildest dreams, in the Wealth Magnet: Principles of Wealth Attraction.

This is breakthrough information that's tested and measured - a system that can be applied by anyone. For instance, when Dolf de Roos, a successful real estate investor and author of the Wealth Magnet began teaching his real estate students the foundational beliefs that all rich people share, his student's success rate went from 5 percent to over 80 percent!

Now, in the Wealth Magnet, you can apply this same knowledge to grow rich in any field. For example, you'll learn:

  • Why it's crucial to get rid of destructive beliefs like "Money is the root of all evil," "Money can't buy you happiness," and "Rich people get wealthy at the expense of the poor," and replace them with empowering beliefs like "Money gives me choices," "I will make a ton of money, have fun doing it, and be generous with it."

  • The critical difference between an abundance mentality and a scarcity mentality- and how to develop and apply an abundance mentality right away.

  • Why scrimping and saving is a "defensive" strategy to grow wealth - and why it's much better to expand your opportunities and create wealth in abundance.

  • How your newfound "millionaire mindset" will make every aspect of your life richer - you'll discover more opportunities to create value, to make contributions to others, and to express gratitude for the abundance you already have in your life.

  • The difference between good and bad debt - and how to use debt to your advantage, rather than being a victim of it

Dolf will cover everything - from what rich people think about work/life balance…economic conditions and world eventslifestylerunning a business… career success… parenting and more… so you know how to handle every life situation like a fabulously wealthy person!

And in so doing, you'll soon find yourself attracting more money, more opportunities, and more time for your family than you ever dreamed was possible. And it's truly as simple as adopting the psychology of the mega-rich!

Night Swim (2024): Movie Review

Jim's Review

In many cases make a short film is a good way to tease a concept of story and I have seen it done with Kin (2018) which was made from a short video called "The Bagman" Dust.

In this movie Night Swim was made from a short film Night Swim (2014) and I figured Blumhouse and James Wan get involved it would be cryptic and scary

It starts out very wholesome and interesting and by the 30 minute mark is where thing start to happen, yet the entire picture get clouded with insight as to who is the real target of the malevolent entity

Ray Waller ( Wyatt Russell) who has given up baseball due a degenerative illness finds the pool is helping with his recovery, even the doctor is surprised!

Eve Waller (Karen Condon) and his son Elliot Waller (Gavin Warren) and sister Kay (Jodi Long) started feel the bad energy coming from the pool and Ray Waller just dismisses them.

The climatic end the pieces fall together leading to a climatic end where everyone faces the wrath of evil in the pool.
