Based on true events in 1955 Emmett Till was brutally lynched while visiting his cousins in Mississippi.
His mother Mamie began her journey to bring the perpetrators to justice, during that time in the deep south life was different and Maimi had warned her son to be careful.
Emmett Till was an outgoing and fun-loving kid but at a local store changed all that and it took years for justice to be served
