Steven Grant / Marc Spector (Oscar Isaac) is very conflicted person who dealing with lots of personal and professional issues. In the 6 episode arc there is lots of information and intrigue on his character and his adversary Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke).
The actions sequence are quick happen often in the beginning, which make it more intriguing about his character(s). It them goes into explaining more about his multiple personality disorder and how he is trying to deal with it. He girlfriend shows up Layla (May Calamawy) and she quickly gets involved in the multiple challenges that Steven and Grant are going through
The climatic last episode "Gods and Monsters" everything comes together and all is revealed and who will make it out and some may not survive.
