Venom Let There Be Carnage (2021):Movie Review

Jim's Review

Director Andy Serkis takes the helm in the second film and creates a better deeper story for all the characters.  Tom Hardy (Venom) returns as he tries to control Venom with limited success. He goes to visit Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson) as he has some information he was to share only with him, it turns out badly for both

Before you know it Carnage is born and all hell is happening.

There is much deeper story from the very beginning which make it a better movie than the first one (which I thought was very weak).

Anne Weying (Michelle Williams) is ex-fiance has more screen time with her new boyfriend Dr. Dan Lewis (Reid Scott) which leads to some very funny scenes with Venom

Detective Mulligan (Stephen Lawrence) from hit series Error 404. has a tremendous performance as he tries to piece together what is happening and by the end he gets involved in more ways than he bargain for.

High recommend staying for the post credit scene as Venom gets introduced to Spiderman and has very interesting reaction!

8 out of 10 stars

Movie plot:
After finding a host body in investigative reporter Eddie Brock, the alien symbiote must face a new enemy, Carnage, the alter ego of serial killer Cletus Kasady.
