Journey to working on Roman Toi documentary (50th Production)

          Wednesday August 29,2018

It all started like a normal morning breakfast, morning coffee and getting started my task for the day.

I try to have my Facebook running in the background due messages I get form clients. On this day I saw this message at 9:52am from a Facebook group called "All Castings Toronto. Actors, Models or "background performance". and NEED A PRODUCTION ASSISTANT / CREW / ACTORS - ONTARIO (PAID ONLY)"

They were looking for assistant to help the camera crew carry around the cases from various sets for the day. I responded and very quickly got a message to reach out to camera man to settle on where to meet.

So the journey began to be on 50th production in 4 years!

I met the director Kalli Paakspuu infront of the Royal Conservatory of Music and shortly thereafter the Cameraman James Crow, sound guy Marcus. H and the rest of the crew.

They were filming a documentary on Roman Toi  learn morewho was musician who mentor many in his lifetime, he had recently passed away in May 2018 at the age of 101.

It was spectacular and memorable day to listen to amazing story from his mentees and learn from a very experienced film crew.
