Celebrate your Birth Today!

Today is your birthday- you are starting a new life; a fresh beginning. Yesterday faults have been released; they are gone. Tomorrow’s worries are buried-they do not exist. What matters is the were judged in your life just by your actions today what would your day look like? You are a genius in hiding! What are you afraid of? Who are you waiting for? As  Og  Mandino  says “I will act now. I will act now. I will repeat these words again and again & again each hour, each day, every day, until the words become as much a habit as my breath & the actions with follow become as instinctive as the blinking eyelids!”

You were born into  this world for a reason. You were here for a nobler purpose than just to eat, sleep, product offspring, and die. You are here to make a difference. You are here to shine your light and leave the world in better shape then you entered it. You are here to display the gifts you have been blessed with. You are here to use those gifts to make a contribution and create significance. You cannot use the gifts yesterday or keep waiting for tomorrow. Display  them today, in fact display them now! Russel H. Cromwell points out. “To be great at all one must be great here and now”

There is no one like you in this world. No one in the world can match your smile, style, or DNA. No one in the world can speak like you or think like you. You are unique, gifted and special. Your gifts are tied to your purpose. Discover them and use them fully. When you do things you were born to do and use your inate gifts to make a difference, you are living and working with purpose, you are energized and focused, and have a sense of direction.

Live fully today! Yesterday is gone forever and tomorrow who knows! You were born to succeed. The universe and your creator want you to succeed. You have been given the resources and capacity to succeed.

We admire the glory of the stars, the beauty of seasons, and the changing of darkness to light at dawn. We, as humans, also have attributes the are admirable. With focus on today and with positive pride, we can use these gifts to make a difference.

Yes, there will be challenges, obstacles and hurdles today, However , if you look at your challenges as steppingstones, you will embrace them. You will view challenges, obstacles, and hurdles as positive steps toward success. Obstacles and hurdles are blessings in disguise. They help you tap into your potential and your genius. How will you discover your  talents and character without challenges and obstacles?

You  learn from every encounter, every experience, every person, every defeat, every setback, and every opportunity. You learn from your difficulities, tragedies and enemies. Therefore, every experience can be valuable. If you constantly learn and grow, you’ll discover that instead of being frustrated by differences, you are enriched and enlightened by them. As you learn, you keep growing. Growing ever day, every hour, each minute and see how your new life blooms and invites success and happiness.

Make the most of each day by having passion for what you do. When you love what you do, you work with enthusiasm and vigor. This comes about when you align your work with your personal mission. You may need to do some soul searching to discover your noble calling and purpose in life. Begin the process of reflection and action. Without action nothing happens. Without reflection you may stray from your path. You need a balance between action and reflection, and , it starts TODAY!.

                          Today is the  most important day of your  Life!

Yesterday is buried forever! Today well-lived makes yesterday a good dream and tomorrow full of hope and confidence.  A young student in one of my sessions shared a thoughtful poem with the group:

Tomorrow.

And thought of the folks he would fill with delight,

Tomorrow.

It was too bad he was too busy today.

The greatest of workers this man would have been,

Tomorrow.

Tomorrow was too late for him and maybe too late for us.

Act now! There is no yesterday or tomorrow. 

All you have is today. The gift of your life today is priceless. On your death-bed you will not be to exchange all your net worth for the extra last breath. Hafiz, the Sufi poet insightfully points out that your birthday gifts (the one’s you were born with) remain unopened. When will you open them? Today you are born afresh!   

Open them today and let your  genius unfold!

Each minute is precious! Every second counts! With total presence the clock stops! If feels like eternity! Life expands and your new day invites success. contribution and inner bliss! Celebrate your birth today- go for it!
