Toronto Maple Leafs faced Stanley Cup Champions Washington Capitals and the game didn't disappoints. The teams exchanged goals in the first and in the second period the Leafs took over in momentum.
In the third period Leafs goaltender Frederick Andersen made some brilliant saves in a 5 minutes span and then Toronto took that energy down the ice and scored a goal to take 3-2 lead.
Despite spending time in their own zone the Capitals couldn't score. Auston Matthew registered in 10th goal in 5 games to give Toronto 4-2
Leafs record 5-1
