Most sites now use cookies when you browse them to track information about you. Some of them even if you’re NOT browsing those sites.
Mostly it’s for advertising and ad targeting but also to save your username and password so you don’t have to login every time you open them.
This collected information might be too much or unsafe sometime, but you still have control. You can always remove those cookies from your browser and here’s how (depending on which browser do you use):
