A lot of web ads claim that your PC or mobile device is infected, and they ask you to download a “free” antivirus software to remove it and keep your device safe.
The software runs a scan and tells you that it removed the threat and now you’re safe, so you should keep the software installed to remain safe. Actually, NO!
You’re not safe, it didn’t remove any threat you might never have a problem to begin with. On the contrary, NOW you have a real problem.
This kind of
software is usually a malware or a spyware which spy on you, collect
data on you without your permission and make you vulnerable for hackers.
There’s no Antivirus that’s completely free.
Don’t install any software of those unless it is from a well-known Antivirus providers.
