Old and outdated mobile apps could pose a serious threat. Some people download apps they don’t use for a while and the developer stops updating them or the app gets removed from the store. These apps, because they’re old, can have serious security gaps that might be dangerous. To avoid being exploited by these apps do these simple steps:
1- From time to time check your device’s apps and make sure the apps you don’t need or rarely use are removed completely.
2- Even for the apps you use, make sure they’re updated, and they still are active on the store with regular updates.
3- You can check the last used date of any app in Android in the “Play Store > May Apps > Installed” and sort apps by last use date and in iOS by going to “Settings > General > (iPhone or iPad) Storage.
