Journey to meeting Terence Kings

April 2016
Kijiji Ad
I answer an ad for a event that need a gentlemen in suit to escort people up the elevator for a high end event happening in May. Got a response to attend a volunteers meeting in mid April.

Volunteers Meeting

I get to the volunteers meeting and I meet the some of the volunteers and executives for the event. I have told I no longer will doing the role they promised it was giving to another gentlemen. It wasn’t great news to hear but I agreed

His name was Terence Kings and young man in early 20’s.  I introduced myself and we had an amazing conversation.  He kept talking and I listened intently.

Tim Horton’s Meeting

Few weeks later we had amazing 2hr meeting at Tim Hortons (Bay and Bloor) he shared more about his  story of life and lessons he had learned.  He shared the vision of Miss Face of Humanity event what it can bring to the world

Waterfront Awards in downtown Toronto (April)

It was fantastic event with lots of great awards and lots of friends in attendance

The Transformation Awards (June)

Terence Kings also introduced me to Patricia and Moses Wawa successful entrepreneurs in the tv and magazine industry. I had been following them for years  with their Diversity Magazine which was distributed in Toronto. It was great thrill to meet them!

Miss Face of Humanity (August)

The event took place in August 25 to about 100 people in the Sheppard and Yonge Area. The were lots of lessons learned from assisting to make this event happen.

I had opportunity to mentor and teach some the contestants on improving their communication and speakers skills.

On the day of the event I was in the back row shedding tears of happiness to see them sharing their vision with the crowd

Moral of this Story:
You never know when you will meet a special connection that you will be able to assist  to make a big impact to the world.
