Magnum P.I. (CBS) 2018:TV Show Review

               Jim Pagiamtzis review;
" I was big fan of the original Magnum P.I with Tom Selleck that air in the 1980's. I was intrigued by the trailer of the new Magnum P.I so I was the first show and was quickly disappointed.

Reboots don't always work. This time Jay Fernandez takes the role of Magnum P.I. and doesn't have the charisma of Mr. Selleck. Higgins is now a woman, which I understand we are in different times in the world now. Unfortunately it doesn't fit the original mold and takes away from the show

Director Justin Lin from Fast and Furious does make the actions sequences more lively and interesting."

  Rating 5 out of 10

First Look Trailer for MAGNUM P.I. on CBS. This is a modern take on the classic series and stars Jay Hernandez as Thomas Magnum, a decorated former Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator in Hawaii. Watch this Fall on CBS.

Jay Hernandez can't live up to Tom Selleck, but CBS' new 'Magnum' is full of pretty scenery and fast cars, for whatever that's worth.Read more

Made To Stick: Book Review

              Jim Pagiamtzis review
" An amazing book to read that Heath brothers clearly illustrate the Made to Stick strategies work!"

                   About book:
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • The instant classic about why some ideas thrive, why others die, and how to improve your idea’s chances—essential reading in the “fake news” era.
BONUS: This edition contains an excerpt from Chip Heath and Dan Heath's Switch.

Mark Twain once observed, “A lie can get halfway around the world before the truth can even get its boots on.” His observation rings true: Urban legends, conspiracy theories, and bogus news stories circulate effortlessly. Meanwhile, people with important ideas—entrepreneurs, teachers, politicians, and journalists—struggle to make them “stick.”

In Made to Stick, Chip and Dan Heath reveal the anatomy of ideas that stick and explain ways to make ideas stickier, such as applying the human scale principle, using the Velcro Theory of Memory, and creating curiosity gaps. Along the way, we discover that sticky messages of all kinds—from the infamous “kidney theft ring” hoax to a coach’s lessons on sportsmanship to a vision for a new product at Sony—draw their power from the same six traits.

Made to Stick will transform the way you communicate. It’s a fast-paced tour of success stories (and failures): the Nobel Prize-winning scientist who drank a glass of bacteria to prove a point about stomach ulcers; the charities who make use of the Mother Teresa Effect; the elementary-school teacher whose simulation actually prevented racial prejudice.

Provocative, eye-opening, and often surprisingly funny, Made to Stick shows us the vital principles of winning ideas—and tells us how we can apply these rules to making our own messages stick.

Lots of things have changed on the show since them. Megan Markle character left show and new cast member have join,

Katherine Heigl in a new cast member  learn more

I got to meet her briefly on Friday afternoon, she was dressed in beautiful red dress that fit her well.

Cast and crew met at 1 King Street West and then took a bus to the Aria Restaurant near the Scotiabank Arena. It was adventurous ride going through downtown core at 1:30pm!

We had a quick break and were usher to the Le Germain Hotel nearby for 30 minutes to the Green Room.

We wrapped up at 5:30pm and took the bus back to 1 King Street west. The bus descended north on Yonge and then attempted to make left on Wellington Street but was block by a standing truck so the bus driver stopped and let all of us out!  While blocking two lanes of traffic. now that take guts too do!
