The Predator (2018) Movie Review (Toronto International Film Festival 2018)
Jim Pagiamtzis Review
Predator is back with new mission! Shane Black directs this recent Predator movie, he appeared in the first film in 1987 with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Fast forward to 2018 and the new beast has a more covert mission to complete.
(Boyd Holbrook) Quinn has an epic battle with predator he is thrust in the action very quickly with his son Rory (Jacob Tremblay). Quinn teams up with unlikely group of military rejects to deal with alien species. Throughout the film there lots of comedic moments that get little overdone as the movie evolves.
(Olivia Munn)Casey Bracket plays the scientist brought in to evaluate the alien species and what they are really here to do.
As the two plots connect the hunt begins that story begins to make sense. There are couple of new alien dogs that come from the ride and don't make any real impact on the film, even a real dog is used badly.
As it nears the climatic end the real reason is revealed which opens up new saga for the future!
Rating 7 out of 10 stars

Movie Plot:
From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home. The universe's most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and an evolutionary biologist can prevent the end of the human race.
