It was amazing end to a fantastic tournament that started at the end of December 2019 and end on January 5th with Canada winning the Gold Medal over Russia 4-3 in a game filled with drama and intrigue.
It was a event game until the second period when each team exchanged goals. Then in the second period Russia took a 3-1 lead.
The Canadian stormed back in the third to tie the game at 3-3 then with less with less than 4 minuts to play rarely used Akim Thomas stormed in down the right wing and scored a spectacular goal avoiding the goalies pokes check to give Canada the win.
It was Canada's 18th goal medal in the tournament the most by any country.
