Book Review: The ACE Principle
The Ace Principle was amazing book to read. Murali Murthy shares some many great stories about successful professionals, athletes and what led to their success and how you can learn from it!
He shared stories about Usain Bolt, Sylvester Stallone, Warren Buffet, Lady Gaga and Sir Richard Branson, after he does he talks about 3 areas.
1st When you ABSORB
2nd What you COMPREHEND
3rd How you can EXCEL
This gives you a great context on how to accept the material in your own life and how to make the strategies work.
Great insights from the book
Building Momentum
" There comes a moment when you have to stop revving up the car and shove it into gear"
How best can we illustrate the effect of momentum? Try pushing a stationary boulder up a moutainside. Now watch the same boulder tumble down at high speed, once it has been set in motion.
High achievers understand the secret of this momentum, They increase their rate of success by first creating the momentum and then simple riding on it. The right plan backed by the right momentum is always the way to accomplish our most daunting without fail.
Your dream is like a GPS, follow it and it will surely and securely take you to your destination.
Practice a positive self-talk daily. The most powerful words of all are the ones that you say to yourself everyday. Your first is to start speaking healthy words and then take healthy actions. As you go about your day's activities, be conscious of how you are talking to yourself in your mind. Find aspects of your day that you can genuinely and positively comment on.
Be specific and speak out loud. The more specific you are, the less likely you will counter your positive comment with a negative rejoinder.
Remember Dr. Emile Coue's famous matra:
"Day by day, in every way, I am becoming better and better"
"Attitudes are contagious. Are yours worth catching?"
Dennis and Wendy Mannering
Leaders always set a positive tone and give well-defined direction. They know they must simplify, clarify, give advance notice and create milestones and schedules to help those who follow them to understand what needs to be done, why it needs to be done, how to do it and when it must be completed.

Ivan Misner and Jack Canfield article for upcoming book
Networked your way to Success!
It has been interesting journey of success. It was ten years
ago 2003 and I was searching for success. Had
gone to school got
jobs and was living an ordinary life. I knew
I was capable of more.
I went to google and search for networking events in Toronto
and found lots of them! Within a year I
have found two
mentors who had significant impact in my life and I was now in a extraordinary
journey
of success.
The act of participating through volunteering and partner
with successful mentors who had succeeded
in business. I began to understand what I was really capable
of doing not just for myself but for others I
would meet in my journey
Persistence paid
off
Through persistence and determination I began to understand
more about myself and the interactions I
Had with people
daily. Realized there was lots of opportunity available had to be willing to
accept it and
move forward with it.
During this time I have met many incredible people from
Robert Cialdini, Jack Canfield , Robert T
Kiyosaki , Blair Singer, Ruben Gonzalez, Dr. Robert Rohm and
Casey Combden . Amazing leaders who have
had major impact in my success
The ability to go out meet people shake hands and being be
able learn, do and apply success principles
has been the pattern
I have been doing for many years.
Writing 3 (paid) articles for a local online library website
and successfully leveraging into
numerous
speaking engagement in Toronto and the United States had
drawn a lot of attention and admiration
from many of my entrepreneurial friends.
In 2011 I was part of mastermind group, Jean Guy Francouer
was part of the group had written 4 books,
bought and sold companies for many years, was extremely
impressed how I had leveraged the articles
and e-books to get
speaking and further writing opportunities on blogs etc.
“
Persistence + Practice = Results” Jim
Pagiamtzis formula of success
Being persistence and
willing to practice daily and will become a result. The most important this is
to
keep the momentum moving and never stop. The P-A-R system I
share deals with this. Being able to
Present yourself with the right attitude
and dealing with responses will yield
success.
There are three things I do daily. Read, Listen & Associate.
1st Read
I always enjoyed reading science fiction and murder
mysteries when I was younger, just switched to
personal development books and learn from the success of
others.
2nd Listen
There are audios, webinar and podcast happening daily in all
sorts of topics. Just join a few groups on
LinkedIn or sign up for couple of newsletter or just ask a
friend in entrepreneurial business they can
refer you some titles.
3rd Associate
There are some many mentors and leaders available that you
can learn from. You have be teachable and
coachable to learn.
Along your journey your mentor s and leaders may change, you will make new
associations through networking and being part of business
You do these three things over and over you will be evolve
in become a better you and have the
Opportunity to empower and inspire thousands in your
journey of success.
Fast forward to today and I am living a extra-ordinary life
of business, life and success.
Speaking,
teaching, writing and empower myself and others that
they too can have an extra-ordinary
life!

Spotlight: David Gargaro
As a
Consulting Editor, I provide writing, editing, consulting and project
management services. My goal is to ensure the accuracy, clarity and integrity
of your message.
1st How did you get started and why?
When I first
graduated from the University of Toronto in 1992, my goal was to become an
actuary. However, I was finding it difficult to get my foot in the door, as the
job market was rather tight and opportunities for new graduates without
experience were scarce. So, I started looking for other ways to earn income,
and that led me to a freelance proofreading position with a publisher of law
resources.
This
experience gave me the experience to get other freelance editing assignments,
which included editing math textbooks for an educational publisher. I found
that I had a skill for copy editing, and I truly enjoyed working on different
materials every day. After working as a freelance editor for several years, I
had the opportunity to take on full-time employment with a major publisher.
However, I discovered that I preferred the freedom and variety offered by
working as a freelance editor, so I returned to freelance editing and have not
looked back.
Over the
course of nearly 20 years, I have had the opportunity to write and edit a wide
variety of materials for many different companies in various industries. I
cannot imagine doing anything else except what I am doing today.
2nd
What tips would you give to business
professionals on editing their own writing?
First,
revise the content and organization. Rearrange the order of your information
such that it would make the most sense to your reader. Add new main ideas or
develop existing ideas more thoroughly to make sure that your message is clear,
interesting and complete. Remove any unnecessary or duplicate information to
make your writing more focused and applicable to the reader. Make sure that all
information is accurate and current. Look at the introduction and the
conclusion to make sure that they are fulfilling their roles. The introduction
should capture your reader’s attention and clearly indicate the point of the
document. The conclusion should summarize your main points and effectively
conclude your argument. Consider the tone of your message; it should be
consistent throughout your document and appeal to your audience.
Second,
revise paragraphs and individual sentences. Each paragraph should contain an
identifiable topic sentence, and all sentences within that paragraph should
support the topic. Your opening paragraph should contain a well-defined thesis
statement. Of course, all paragraphs and sentences should be grammatically
correct, contain the proper language and tone, and be consistent in tone and
tense. Each sentence should contain a single thought that supports the content
of the paragraph.
Finally,
perform an effective edit of the entire document. Editing involves correcting
errors in word choice, spelling and punctuation. Remove unnecessary words,
jargon and clichés to make sure that all words are effectively used. Check all
spelling to make sure that it is consistent throughout, and verify the proper
use of punctuation. Have someone else read your document to get a fresh
perspective and help with catching overlooked errors.
