Movie based on Kevin Kwan book it follows the journey of Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) and her boyfriend Nick (Henry Golding) as bring to Rachel to Singapore to meet the family
Things don't go well as Nick's mother (Eleanor Sung-Young) does not approve and will try at any cost to change her son's mind
The drama the extravaganza are throughout the film as Crazy Rich is shown but it is more about culture and the power of love and resilience that is the theme

Rachel Chu is happy to accompany her longtime boyfriend, Nick, to his best friend's wedding in Singapore. She's also surprised to learn that Nick's family is extremely wealthy and he's considered one of the country's most eligible bachelors. Thrust into the spotlight, Rachel must now contend with jealous socialites, quirky relatives and something far, far worse -- Nick's disapproving mother.
