1. You recently released a new book The Spirit Ritual Formula, why was the reason you wrote the book?
I started my spiritual journey more in-depth about 6 years ago. I was coming from a really low point in my life. I was looking for answers and wanted to start feeling better again. I had moments where I felt really empowered in my life and other times when I was not in control and did not have any foundation for my well being.
Friends started to recommend and share books with me. I was reading as much as I could get my hands on. I was devouring books at a good pace and also listening for a few hours a day on books on tape and took courses and went to seminars and workshops all around spiritual development and personal development.
Each author and speaker would recommend something to do to feel better and to connect more. I was learning a lot but how much was I incorporating it into my life? Most people read books, feel a bit better and learn a nugget or two and then put the book back on their shelf. Each author I was reading about had their own system. I tried the different rituals and activities and did some of them consistently. I found the ones that made me feel better.
I decided that I wanted to put a personal system into place in my life where I would feel energized, more empowered and to create more magic into my life.
So developed that formula and experimented with the rituals and practices that I enjoyed the best. I started with a few rituals and then added more to it.
It turned into a system with 9 rituals to do in the morning and 9 rituals to do before bed.
I have always enjoyed journaling as well but it has not been something that I have done consistently. Looking back I would only really journal when things where off and going wrong. I wanted to include a journal practice into the book as well. The journal process in my books is a carry over from the Spirit Rituals found in the book. There is room to journal in the morning and evening.
This book was created as a tool that would help me with my own life and my own well being. After finding what works for me I thought that a lot of other people could greatly benefit from it as well.
Some people will be familiar with the rituals found in this book, other people may not have heard of them. Even if people have heard of these rituals they may not be part of their daily practice. The Spirit Ritual Formula helps people to develop a consistent spiritual practice that will improve their life.
My book essentially putting these powerful tools into people's hands and then giving them directions on how to use it. I have had clients write to me telling me how this book has helped them. The book is a practice that spans 45 days. And during that time something great will happen in your life.
2. Can you share insights why meditation is an important habit to learn and do
Meditation for me comes down to presence. Most of the time our energy and thoughts are flying around between our past and present situations. Where our thoughts go so does our energy. Meditation is a way to call back our energy and power from disempowering places.
Meditation is stillness and it is one of the oldest and most beneficial practices that most people do not do. Meditating on a consistent basis may not be easy for a lot of people. I have had a few strings of consistent meditation and when I did I felt healthier and more connected.
How else can you silent the negative thoughts in your head then by being still?
There is no other way then to meditate.
And there are all kinds of meditation, from simple breathing meditation, to guided meditation and visualization, to group meditations.
I suggest the simplest form of meditation. Just close your eyes in a quite space. Sit upright and breathe deliberately and consciously feel your breath moving in your nose and into your chest/diaphragm and out of your mouth. No pressure on yourself to achieve anything. Do not put a goal on what you will achieve with this type of meditation. Just by trying it you will be successful.
And soon you will be going deeper into your meditation sessions. This will lead to more feelings of being at ease, more connections and more synchronicities will start to align. This all happens as a result of being still.
I also suggest having a pen and paper handy when coming out of a meditation. You never know what new insights you will gain once you tap into your higher self.

Guest Spotlight feature; Marcio Mendes
Recently Marcio Mendes shared insights on Meditation and Mindful at Public Speakers Association Toronto Chapter in Toronto
Below is quick explanation of what he shared
Everything that exists in our reality was thought before it existed. What we think can turn into feeling and consequently into reality.
But all this can be corrected in a simple and accessible way to any thinking being, how? Through meditation, thousands of research has already been carried out in this area and proven its benefits from the most diverse prevention and cure diseases that affect us.
It is not enough to live but we to live with quality as the philosopher Socrates once said. We have potentialities within ourselves and we do not use them, and unfortunately the world we live in is increasingly distanced from the use of these human potentialities and meditation is the key we have to access and use our potentiality.

(True)Story is insights in human interaction..
Last Friday evening I was at the Esso gas station in the Finch and Dufferin area toping of my car with gas for the weekend and my upcoming trip to Buffalo.
I put in my card, swipped my speed pass and attempted to put gas in my car. Nothing happened. I repeated the process and still nothing.
On the other side of the car port. The guy was yelling and screaming out loud about the situation. "They take my money and they don't give me gas!"
I reach over and said just be patient and try again. He says to me how are you so patient? I said yoga, pilates and meditation do that to you!
He started to chuckle a little and next thing you know gas started to flow..
We had another short brief conversation on the weather, economy and world peace and before you know it we were on our way in different directions .
Moral of the Story. Patience is a virtue and you may make some friends along the way.

Cultivating Intuition
For most people, early education and training taught us to look out outside
of ourselves for the answers to our questions. But we have the answers we need
inside. Our unconscious mind is the source of our hidden genius.
Intuition is not something relegated to certain people. Not only does everyone have intuition, but everyone has experienced it as well.
Have you ever been thinking of someone, and the phone rings and it’s that person on the other line who was just thinking about you? Have you ever felt a burning sensation on the back of your neck and when you turned around you see someone staring at you from across the room?
We’ve all experienced this kind of intuition. If you want to leverage your innate wisdom to create greater success, you must learn to tap into your intuition at will.
Some people receive messages as visions or images, which can appear in quick flashes or unfold slowly, like a movie. Your intuition might speak to you as a hunch, a thought or in words. You may even find that you are able to dialogue with your intuition to get more information and clarity.
You might notice physical sensations, such as goosebumps, discomfort in your gut, a feeling of relief or a sour taste in your mouth. Others experience intuitive messages through emotions, such as feelings of uneasiness or confusion when their intuition is trying to steer them away from something or, when the message is positive, feelings of euphoria and profound peace. Sometimes intuitive messages are simply a deep sense of knowing and certainty; if you’ve ever said “I felt it in my heart” or “I knew is in the depth of my soul,” chances are it was a message from your intuition.
• Use meditation to deepen your intuition. Regular meditation will help you clear your mind of distractions, as well as teach you how to better recognize the subtle impulses from within. Set aside time each day to meditate on your own, or use guided meditations such as those found in my Awakening Power program. As you become more attuned to your inner world, you’ll be able to more quickly and easily pick out the sound of your higher self or higher power speaking to you through words, images and sensations.
• Make time to listen. Life is busy, and in the rush to achieve our tasks and goals, it’s easy to forget to stop and tune into our higher wisdom. Your most valuable wisdom comes through when you are open to receiving it. Devote time every day – and even multiple times each day – to consciously giving your intuition center stage.
• Ask questions. Don’t be passive when communicating with your intuition. Step up and ask for answers to the questions you are struggling with.
• Write down your answers. Intuitive impressions are subtle and can “evaporate” quickly. Neuroscience research indicates that intuitive insights not captured within 37 seconds will likely never be recalled again. Many people find journal writing to be a highly effective way to access their intuition. Try it – you’ll be amazed at the clarity of what comes through.
• Take immediate action. When you act on the information you receive, you’ll find that you get more and more intuitive impulses. After a while, you’ll be living in flow. Intuition works best when we trust it. The more you demonstrate faith in your intuition, the more you will see the results in your life.
Whether you want to make more money, make better decisions, solve problems more quickly, or create winning plans, tuning into your intuition will help you achieve your goals. Trusting your intuition is trusting yourself. The more you trust yourself, the more success you will have.

Recognize When Your Intuition Speaks
To be able to use your intuition, you must able to recognize when it is speaking. Intuition is not loud and demanding. It is subtle and appears differently for different people. Some people receive messages as visions or images, which can appear in quick flashes or unfold slowly, like a movie. Deepen Your Intuition
Although intuition is something everyone has, you must cultivate it to receive the maximum benefit. Here are 5 tips to help you access and use your intuition to greater effect.• Use meditation to deepen your intuition. Book review: Molecules of Emotion
It has been a great experience reading Molecules of Emotion by Candace B. Pert, Ph.D.
In July 2012 while attending a meditation session in Toronto, the teacher of the evening mentioned a passage in the book. I had a copy of the book! It was evening of synchronicity in the air I truly believe.
I have been a avid reader of many books in the personal development arena for many years and have written on the subject also.
Reading this book was an experience in understanding. Candance Pert's journey of learning about her professional career, her life and the struggles she faced along the way.
Her determination to research the "opiate receptor" and make it a challenge to figure it out, as illustrate in the passage below.
" I decided that night I would as Sol to let me switch projects and leave the choline re-uptake assay behind and begin a research for the opiate receptor. I knew he believed that finding the opiate receptor was a near-impossibility, and I figured it wasn't likely to be something he'd even think o f assigning to a PH.D. candidate. But I didn't care. His skepticism only added to the glamour, enhanced the appeal, And, beside, it would be an original project-not hand-me-down based on someone elses research, something he know I found tedious. I remember feeling inspired and thinking, for my somewhat limited perspective at the time, that if I succeeded, then I just might become famous- as a graduate student who had actually done an exciting and original piece of work for her doctoral dissertation.
She went on to make some ground breaking scientific achievements witch led to the betrayal of her mentor Sol.
" I hung up again, and tried to see things from Sol's point of view, but I could not put my rage to rest. The idea that I would be sitting in the audience while he and the others were honored for the work that I had played such an important part in seemed blatantly unfair. Was I really expected to stand down for my part in what had turned out to be a tremendous discovery, on that in a few short years since it occurred had been reshaping the entire field of neurosciences? No. I resolved this was not something I could watch happen, But what could I do?
She continued her journey in trying to understand her mentor betrayal and how the rest of the science community would not help her. That was until she made some new connections which gave her support and encourage to continue.
She entered the world of meditation she open her mind to the synchronicity and being able to see connections between events and people happening in her life
The thought's of her dying father in his hospital bed not being able to survive push her further and father in realizing what she was doing was the right way an the only way to succeed!
Her personal life had faced my struggles from leaving her husband Agu and moving on and meeting a new life partner which brought her more happiness and excitement than she had ever imagined. Traveling the world and see new sight and feeling connected and inspired in her personal and professional journey.
"Molecules of Emotion is book that unravel and give you the opportunity to learn and understand about science but also the people and decisions they make along the way and how it impacts the world as we know it" Jim Pagiamtzis
