Podcamp Toronto is happening this weekend Saturday February 25th and Sunday February 26th

     Sunday February 26th  Room 185

It’s not surprising that most podcasts out there are single hosted podcasts. It’s not easy to find someone who matches your energy and shares your values despite personal views and experiences not to mention complete different cultural backgrounds. That was not the case with us (Jim and Hisham). Back when we started our podcast (Quantumly Leaping), we did not expect anyone to listen but we’ve got some loyal audience with decent following.

In this session we share how we started our nearly no-cost podcast, and successfully co-hosted it discussion topics that most other podcasters won’t come near. The challenges, the long preparation debates and the success. Learn how host or co-host your podcast for almost zero cost. Let’s quantumly leap into this experience together.

Key Take Aways

  • Dr. Strange and the beginning of a partnership with a bumpy road.
  • The Road to Load: 18 months in the process of making a podcast.
  • COVID-19 and the birth of Quantumly Leaping Podcast: Challenges, opportunities and victories.
  • The Rigmarole in the Rabbit Hole: How we chose some tough rabbit-hole style topics yet quantumly leaped out of them intact.
  • If We Did it then You Can: Starting a successful podcast with no-cost.

Are you wondering what the next killer app will be? Do you want to know how you can maintain and add to your value during these rapidly changing times? Are you wondering how the word love can even be used in the context of business?

Instead of wondering, read this book and find out how to become a lovecat—a nice, smart person who succeeds in business and in life.

How do you become a lovecat? By sharing your intangibles. By that I mean:
Your knowledge: everything that comes from all the books that I’ll encourage you to devour.
Your network: the collection of friends and contacts you now have, which I’ll teach you how to grow and nurture.
Your compassion: that human warmth you already possess—in these pages I’ll convince you that you can show it freely at the office.

What happens when you do all this?
* You become a rich source of information to all around you.
* You are seen as a person with valuable insight.
* You are perceived as generous to a fault, producing surprise and delight.
* You double your business intelligence in one year.
* You triple your network of personal relationships in two years.
* You quadruple the number of colleagues in your life who love you like family.

In short, you become one of those amazing, outstanding people to whom everyone turns, who leads rather than follows, who never runs out of ideas, contacts, or friendship.

Here’s the real scoop: Nice guys don’t finish last. They rule!  Learn more and buy book

Antman at the Wasp Quantumania (2023): Movie Review

Jim's Review

Scott Lang ( Paul Rudd ) is back and he is trying to enjoy life with his daughter Cassie (Kathryn Newton) and Evangeline Lilly (Hope Van Dyne),  Janet Van Dyne ( Michelle Pfeiffer ) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas)

They are all having some quality family time as Scott Lang is enjoy success with his book and Hope Van Dyne is changing the world with new science.

The family time goes from bad to worse as Cassis Lang has been making innovations with a new device and quantum realm. This doesn't sit well with Janet Van Dyne who want her to stop it immediately as she has many secrets the she has not shared with the family as the time she spent in the quantum realm.

The quickly get all zapped and meet Kang The Conqueror  (Jonathan Majors) who has been stuck in the quantum realm and is been wanting to escape for long time. A version of Kang has already made an appearance in Loki Season 1 that version was very diplomatic.

All is explained about Kang and his journey and soon the real adventure begins by everyone to get back to the real world

There are lots of cool surprises with new character being introduced and some old one making a strange new appearance  M.O.D.O.K (Corey Stoll) who was yellow jacket in the the first film.

The look and feel of the quantum realm and has a Star Wars look and feel which makes it pleasure to watch and admire!

The story does move along as sacrifices will made by everyone and it will have impact on a few of them.

The climatic end will feature some cool antics by Scott Lang, Cassie Lang and Hank Pym who will bring in some cool reinforcements!

In the end Kang The Conqueror has only been delayed and will make his next appearance in Avengers The Kang Dynasty due out in 2025.

About book
There is NO SUCH THING as a mindless doodle

What did Einstein, JFK, Edison, Marie Curie, and Henry Ford have in common? They were all inveterate doodlers. These powerhouse minds knew instinctively that doodling is deep thinking in disguise-a simple, accessible, and dynamite tool for innovating and solving even the stickiest problems.

Sunni Brown's mission is to bring the power of the Doodle to the rest of us. She leads the Revolution defying all those parents, teachers, and bosses who say
Stop doodling! Get serious! Grow up! She overturns misinformation about doodling, demystifies visual thinking, and shows us the power of applying our innate visual literacy. She'll teach you how to doodle any object, concept, or system imaginable, shift habitual thinking patterns, and transform boring text into displays that can engage any audience.

A Little Bit Broken -A Memoir: Book Review

Jim's Review

This is a very serious and personal book that Roz shares all his faults and choices he made the ramifications he had to deal with.

The first half of the book was very intense to read and try to understand what Roz Weston did to himself and  survive!

From his dad and his working life in full force. The last part of the book the pieces are explained and the person he became was still little broken but alive with a new purpose.

The climatic chapter will bring it home with love and understamding by everyone.

9.25 out of 10*

*could resist doing KISS 92.5 is radio station Roz works on

** we do have few things in common I also did witness fight at wedding and worked for two videos stores!

About book
It never gets better, but it does get easier. That's the first thing Roz says to anyone who asks him for advice. Anyone who's fighting like hell, just hanging on or putting the pieces back together. When you're broken, fixed becomes an obsession.

Roz is a multi-platform entertainer and storyteller who hosts three shows a day and sleeps five hours a night. On
The Roz & Mocha ShowET Canada Live and Entertainment Tonight Canada Roz built an audience and turned them into family. But as with most families, there is just some shit we don't talk about.

From growing up in a small town to getting lost, drunk and terrified in New York while interning for
The Howard Stern Show; from finding comfort in the arms and beds of strangers to kicking an opioid addiction he didn't know he had; from broken bones to broken hearts and a broken marriage. From navigating grief and guilt following the devastating loss of his father to persevering in the face of an ongoing and private battle with his own body. All is shared in Roz's disarming signature blend of blunt truth and humour.

A Little Bit Broken is a deeply personal and inspiring account of self-forgiveness, redemption and recovering from bad choices—because let's face it, the reason we make bad choices is that they usually feel really good. And Roz has made them all. "This book is the whole story I've never shared before. . . . This is the shit we don’t talk about. Welcome to the family."learn more and buy book

The Boys Cup from Season 3: Feature article

The Boys Season 3 Episode 8

In the last scene of Episode 8 Butcher walks into the room holding Dawn of the Seven cup that he was drinking and eventually puts it in the garbage bin.

The little back story is I have been on the Boys since season 1, filmed in Toronto it has been a great experience to meet most of the actors in person.

In the scene we appeared I was given the Dawn of the Seven cup as a prop and at the end of the scene one my fellow actors dared me to take it with me!  So I accepted the challenge and walked out with it.

How I did will unfortunately remain a secret!

         Simply Marvelous!

In recent year Marvel Studios has brought so many movies to the silver screen and to streaming.  Moon Knight season 1, Wandavision and Loki were huge success.

Most recent Marvel Studios and Kevin Fiege announced that they will take it easy on the number of titles being release from a fire hose to more a small release schedule and special presentation.

Stan Lee has done many interviews regarding his career creating this characters.
