Nasir Khan (Riz Ahmed) picks up a mysterious woman with his dad taxi then she is murdered and Nasir is the prime suspect. Jack Stone (John Turturro) is a lawyer is meets Nasir and tries to help him.
The authorities believe they have the right person. Nasir faces multiple challenges in jail in the roller coaster ride until the final end where the night of gets pieced together to show what really happened the murder suspect is revealed
