Clay Riddell (John Cusack) is a graphic novelist having a bad day that is getting worse. Cellphones have turned most of the entire population into Phoners.  He meet Tom McCourt (Samuel L Jackson) and the quest begins to figure it out. Clay is trying to mend fences with this son and Tom is there to keep them alive.

Based on the book Stephen King this movie has it all crazed people and conspiracy theories abound.

A graphic novelist (John Cusack) begins a desperate search for his estranged wife (Clark Sarullo) and son (Ethan Andrew Casto) after a mysterious cellphone signal transforms New Englanders into savage killers.
