Can4House support Habitat for Humanity
It has been a great experience supporting Habitat for Humanity since 2009. James Young or "Can Man as he is know has been supporting the Habit for Humanity for many years. The initiate is to create affordable homes. I have donated personal and the corporate initiative 30 boxes of cans.

Recycling program that required persistence that worked.
Was recently speaking on skype with Lori Raudnask author of Persistence Pays and shared with her this inspiring story of persistence.
In July 2003 I had started a job in the transportation industry and had noticed how much paper we were going through on a daily basis and how we were "killing trees". Everyone agreed we had a problem. So the journey began to get a paper recycling program started.
I approached upper management through various ways open discussions and emails to no response of action.This continued for months and years and then finally..
Fast forward to April 2011 and we had town hall meeting and were asked to submit areas of discussion with the president of the company. I put my suggestion that we need recycling program(bins) in operations down on paper once again and they day arrived the question was mentioned and discussed.
I put my hand and said "head office upstairs has it, why not operations (dept)". Within two days there 3 large size bins delivered and they recycling program had started.
Moral of the story:
It took eight years of persistence but in the end we went from killing trees to "saving the environment".
