Movie plot

The superhumans Samaritan and Nemesis were twin brothers who lived in Granite City. They ultimately fought in the city's power plant, causing a fire, and both were apparently killed in the ensuing explosion. Many people remain fans of the Samaritan and there are rumors that he is still alive.

In the present, thirteen-year-old Sam Cleary tries his best to help his mom with the financial crisis they are in. He accepts a job from a gang headed by Reza. The plan goes haywire, but the real gang leader, Cyrus, is impressed and personally gives Sam $110. Reza and his friends later attack Sam as payback but are stopped by Joe Smith, a garbage collector who lives in the apartment across from Sam's. Joe displays super-strength in fighting off the bullies, causing Sam to suspect that he is the Samaritan. Meanwhile, Cyrus finds Nemesis's hammer and sets himself up as the new Nemesis, sparking riots and chaos throughout the city.

Sam spies on Joe and eventually confronts him. Joe denies that he is the Samaritan, but Reza - still looking for revenge - hits him with his car. Joe is badly injured but Sam sees him revive and heal. Sam learns that using his healing powers causes Joe to overheat to dangerous levels and he has to cool off. Joe tells Sam to keep his secret. They build a friendship, with Joe giving Sam fighting lessons. At the same time, Cyrus invites Sam to work with his gang, although Sam is disturbed when he overhears their violent activities.

When Joe defends a young girl from an explosion caused by Cyrus's gang, rumors spread that the Samaritan is back. Cyrus discovers Joe's identity and connection to Sam, and kidnaps Sam to lure Joe in. In their battle, it is revealed that Samaritan died during the power plant fire. Joe is actually Nemesis, who survived and went on to become a good citizen inspired by his brother. Joe kills Cyrus and breaks his hammer. He almost overheats from his healing powers and the spreading fire, but Sam breaks open a pipe to shower him with water. Joe recovers enough to escape with Sam by jumping out a window. Joe leaves, overhearing Sam tell the press that "Samaritan" saved him.

Sonny Fisher (Kevin Hart) gets involved with Huck (Mark Wahlberg) antic for a very long time.

Carter (2022): Movie Review

                                                                               Jim's Review

Carter (Joo Won)has a voice in his ear and its directing where to go and what to do!

In the slick and fast action movie the sequence are flawless and the action is non-stop. When it does stop it become boring and stuck in the mud until it picks up again.

The climatic end tie everything together and will you wondering was it  about the action or story?

(Ladybug)Brad Pitt has one job get a case and get off a Bullet Train, if it only was that easy!

He gets on the train full of some other interesting people who also want the case for their own reasons

The train speeds along and the action and drama begin with all or nothing attitude by all

Event though its called the Bullet train the story take a while to get going and involve lots explains from various characters and lots of throwbacks.

The actions is fast and at some points extremely hilarious especially the slow motion add the hilarious element

Living at the movies: Book Review

Jim's Review

A book full of inspiring and motivational poems

10 out of 10 stars

About book
From the Author of The Basketball Diaries

Originally released in 1973,
Living at the Movies was the first aboveground publication of the work of Jim Carroll, a singer-songwriter Newsweek called “contender for the title of rock’s new poet laureate.” In these poems, all written before the age of twenty-two, Carroll shows an uncanny virtuosity. His power and poisoned purity of vision are reminiscent of Arthur Rimbaud, and, like the strongest poets of the New York School, Carroll transforms the everyday details of city life into poetry. In language at once delicate, hallucinatory, and menacing, his major themes—love, friendship, the exquisite pains and pleasures of drugs, and above all, the ever-present city—emerge in an atmosphere where dream and reality mingle on equal terms. It is an astonishing debut by an important American writer and artist.

“Jim Carroll has the sure confidence of a true artist. . . . He is steeped in his craft. He has worked as only a man of inspiration is capable of working. . . . His beginning is a triumph.”—Gerard Malanga,

The Gift of Imperfection: Book Review

Jim's Review

An amazing book from the beginning all the way to the end!

10 out of 10 stars

About book
Each day we face a barrage of images and messages from society and the media telling us who, what, and how we should be. We are led to believe that if we could only look perfect and lead perfect lives, we'd no longer feel inadequate. So most of us perform, please, and perfect, all the while thinking,What if I can't keep all of these balls in the air? Why isn't everyone else working harder and living up to my expectations? What will people think if I fail or give up? When can I stop proving myself?

In
The Gifts of Imperfection, Brené Brown, PhD, a leading expert on shame, authenticity and belonging, shares what she's learned from a decade of research on the power ofWholehearted Living--a way of engaging with the world from a place of worthiness.

In her ten guideposts, Brown engages our minds, hearts, and spirits as she explores how we can cultivate the courage, compassion, and connection to wake up in the morning and think,
No matter what gets done and how much is left undone, I am enough, and to go to bed at night thinking,Yes, I am sometimes afraid, but I am also brave. And, yes, I am imperfect and vulnerable, but that doesn't change the truth that I am worthy of love and belonging. learn more and buy book
