Modern Education Part 2 College Education Challenges: Special Podcast

In our previous episode we talked about the challenges of modern education especially the online schooling. As COVID-19 quickly transformed all education to online college education didn’t do much well in this extreme challenge. Problems with college education hasn’t started with COBD-19 for sure but this pandemic uncovered a lot of issues in this field. Parents are having a close look for the first time to what their kids are learning and they’re definitely not happy. For the past couple of years, we’re seeing a lot of frustration with college education by both parents and students. Stuck in a very old cycle of curricula, educational methods and lack of understanding of the new market’s career requirements, college education is becoming very expensive and mostly inefficient. College students are becoming so frustrated that they are committing suicide in hundreds out of frustration. They are paying much money for an education that does not prepare them for the modern work environment, they are drowned in dept and have no decent income to pay for it.

What happened to college education that it became that expensive and inefficient? How does the COVID-19 pandemic reveal the problems with college education? What will happen to most colleges post COVID-19 now that parents are very unhappy with their kids’ advancement? All these and more question are the topics of this episode.

A Warning Anonymous: Book Review

Jim Pagiamtzis Review:

Interesting insights that have been already be reported from media and newspapers sources

The inner working of the White House are extremely scary and worrisome to say the least.
I hope American make a smarter choice in November 2020

5 out of 10 stars

About book:
On September 5, 2018, the New York Times published a bombshell essay and took the rare step of granting its writer anonymity. Described only as "a senior official in the Trump administration," the author provided eyewitness insight into White House chaos, administration instability, and the people working to keep Donald Trump's reckless impulses in check.

With the 2020 election on the horizon, Anonymous is speaking out once again. In this book, the original author pulls back the curtain even further, offering a first-of-its-kind look at the president and his record -- a must-read before Election Day. It will surprise and challenge both Democrats and Republicans, motivate them to consider how we judge our nation's leaders, and illuminate the consequences of re-electing a commander in chief unfit for the role.

This book is a sobering assessment of the man in the Oval Office and a warning about something even more important -- who we are as a people.

Social Platforms Responsibility Against the Spread of Misinformation (S01 - E10): Special Podcast

According to the Pew research center 62% of adults in the United States get their news from social media platforms. And, while most major media outlets have presence on social media, much more news outlets that are not legit or even regulated are their most of which spread lies, misinformation and conspiracy theories. The numbers of people who believe and share this news from those sources are staggering and rising every day. Currently social media platforms are protected under the US law as being a provider (platform) not as a publisher which means they can decide for themselves what content should stay on their own platforms. While the pressure is getting higher and higher for those platforms to moderate the content and many of them are trying hard to make that happen, we hear politicians threatening of suing them or even shutting them down when they moderate their content. How content moderation affects the spread of misinformation? How these companies will balance content moderation and still profit from content? And how politics plays a huge part in that? All of these questions are in the core of this episode’s topics.
